The Senior AR Accountant will be responsible for cash allocation, collection, credit limit and dispute management, customer management, reconciliation accounts, AR month end tasks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of AR processes, well-developed organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. This position reports directly to the Accounting Team Leader and collaborates with various departments to support the company’s financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile AR sub-ledger to the general ledger on a regular basis and assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior AR staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and company standards
- Supervision of month end, year-end activities incl. bank reconciliation, preparing reports
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end accounts receivable process
- Supporting other team members with resolving complex queries
- Credit control, credit limit management, customer discount & Rebates management, penalties management, customer data management
- Cash collection, dispute management, delivery control for delinquent accounts, managing customer & invoice queries, order release process, Issuing recharge invoices
- Performing AR reconciliations and bad debt reserve management
- Performing credit limit analysis and calculation, supporting credit risk assessment
- Co-operate remotely and directly with local, regional and global multinational teams
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation, reports, and supporting schedules related to AR activities
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- University degree (finance, accountancy or related preferred)
- At least 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivables/Cash collections with minimum 1 year in senior role
- Familiarity with SAP
- Effective organizational skills and ability to manage tasks
- Communicative English (B2 level or higher) and Polish - required
- Knowledge of French or German would be an advantage
