TITLE: Filler Operator – First Shift
LOCATION: Onsite in Avon, OH
SHIFT & HOURS: Monday – Friday, 6am – 2:30pm (Saturday overtime as needed)
Hiring Hourly Rate: $21.36/hr.
Custom Culinary, a subsidiary of Griffith Foods, is hiring a Filler Operator to be responsible for operating, setting up, and troubleshooting production equipment in accordance with company quality, safety, and regulatory standards (Good Manufacturing Practice, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point, Griffith Production System).
As a Filler Operator, your responsibilities will include:
Monitoring equipment performance, performing quality checks, documenting production data in Enterprise Resource Planning System, maintaining cleanliness and safety in the work area, and collaborating with maintenance to minimize downtime
Follow all procedures to reduce Non-Conformance Report and customer complaints while ensuring that the weights are as specified.
Participate in root cause analysis of customer complaints and Non-Conformance Report.
Sets up equipment and operates it according to established standards; operates programmable logic controls, and collaborates with maintenance to troubleshoot issues and reduce downtime.
Ability to occasionally lift and stack boxes up to 60 Pounds and operate an electric pallet jack.
Enters production information into Enterprise Resource Planning in a timely manner.
Verifies correct materials including packaging and labels are being used per procedure.
Participates in Lean manufacturing projects, Kaizen events, other duties or tasks that may be assigned as required.
Ensure health, safety, cleanliness, and security of the work environment while ensuring compliance with all product safety and legal/quality requirements are met.
Qualified candidates will have:
Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds throughout the shift and operate an electric pallet jack.
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently, including the ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; and the ability to communicate with individuals and small groups.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Working knowledge or the ability to gain knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning.
Willingness & ability to work overtime, as needed, throughout the week, up to and including Saturday work.
Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods during the shift.
Comfortable working with and around allergens and cleaning chemicals.
Must be able to work onsite in Avon, OH location
Candidates must currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand and walk to communicate and listen effectively. This will require both office and plant floor environments. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. The employee will occasionally need to operate and drive a forklift or electronic pallet jack to transport materials or goods.
Environmental Concerns
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Dust and odor are present in the environment.
2 Year Earning Potential Based on Performance
6 Months - $22.10/hr.
12 Months-$22.80/hr.
24 Months- $23.56/hr.
