Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Principal Production Operations based out of our San Diego Rancho Carmel location. Full time On-site.
What You'll Get to Do:
The ideal candidate will manage manufacturing deliverables against the contract from capture phase through production insertion. The candidate will be responsible for interfacing with technical leadership, program management, engineering, production control, global supply chain, and production supervisors to ensure deliverables are built within cost and budget while meeting operation build schedules. The candidate will be supporting early manufacturing development including facilitating all facets of manufacturing readiness and risk preparedness by ensuring cost and schedule can be met while standing up resources to support development.
The CAM/OPM (Control Account Manager / Operations Program Manager) is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of control account budgets, schedules, scope and technical performance measurement. Responsible for all manufacturing and/or Development efforts of project execution, and cost.
Basic Qualifications Principal Production Operations:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related professional experience that includes a background in project management, supply chain, mathematics, engineering, operations or business. 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Must have experience with Microsoft Office applications to include advanced skills using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Strong Excel skills to include utilization of Pivot Tables.
Experience with MRP Knowledge: gathering, manipulating, and processing raw data at scale. Interpreting data provided by SAP, PLM and MES Systems.
Experience managing Integrated Master Schedules and overall hardware status
Experience reading engineering documentation, BOM Structures, and PLM tools
Experience with project leadership and/or process improvement
US Citizenship
Ability to obtain a Security Clearance
Ability to maintain clearance - Special Program Access (PAR/SAP)
Preferred Qualifications Principal Production Operations:
Experience successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with EVMS processes, baseline forecasting, risk and opportunity management, and Control Account Management (CAM) experience
Experience gathering, manipulating, and processing raw data at scale. Interpreting data provided by SAP, PDM and Solumina Systems.
Experience with presentation skills to senior leadership.
SharePoint experience.
Experience with Tableau and Solumina systems.
