Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing capital projects ~$30M, and consolidating MRO suppliers
Collaborate closely with Business Units, Operations & Engineering, Technology, and project managers to understand Capex project requirements, timeline and budget constrains
Ensure the procurement process is followed
Close collaboration with internal stakeholders to determine current and future sourcing needs to make sure purchase(s) are made based on Funds approval
Negotiate and implement supply agreements to balance quality, service, risk and value.
Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with key suppliers to advance company objectives, develop supplier capabilities, address gaps in supplier performance.
Identify YoY savings opportunities for the categories particularly with identifying and executing “TCO”
Identify cost-savings opportunities and implement strategies to optimize CAPEX spending while maintaining project quality and timeline
Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, favorable payment terms, and adherence to project specifications
Coordinate with legal to review and finalize contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Skills and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field
3 or more years' experience in procurement in an industrial company, preferable in a CAPEX focused role
Fluent spoken and written English. Additional language skills a plus, particularly Spanish and/or Portuguese
Proficient knowledge of the source-to-contract Procurement process
Experienced in Procurement e-sourcing-tools.
Proficiency in contract negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills
Partnering with senior-level leaders and stakeholders in a matrix organization
Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving capability
Self-motivated, service-oriented “Can do – Will do” mindset and attitude
Detail oriented with good organizational and time management skills
Analytics mindset with the ability to identify cost saving opportunities and drive process improvement
Ability to travel approx. 20%, including potential international travel
