The Opportunity
Hitachi Energy is seeking a Global Technical Instructional Designer to support our 12,000+ global employees in the High Voltage Business Unit.
In alignment with Hitachi Energy High Voltage’s learning vision and growth strategy, this role will help architect our inaugural training center of expertise and knowledge community. This will include creating engaging technical content and courses, utilizing micro-, people-centric, role- skill- and level-based learning methodologies.

How You'll Make an Impact
Working closely with the Global Learning Manager, you will collaborate with cross-cultural and functional leaders, technical subject matter experts, knowledge owners, and learning experts to determine and create content to fulfill critical knowledge needs. This role will help architect our inaugural Global HV Learning Center of Expertise.
You will create skill- and role-based learning objectives, assessments, certifications, stories, scenarios, knowledge checks, case studies, interactive activities, scripts, content, and videos adhering to all branded standards, processes, and style-guides.
You will interpret skill matrixes to determine critical knowledge gaps and develop training content. You will create step-by-step guides, best practice and troubleshooting documents, infographics, animations, videos, interactive elements, learning activities, assessments, gamification, and courses while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, compliance, and operational excellence.
Interpret content analytics for success and continuous improvement by implementing a plan of improvement to address poor review comments, low ratings and completions.
Support the acceleration of our employees’ learning by creating content that onboards, assesses, and advances skill acquisition and proficiency.
Lead and track projects that align with goals to ensure on-time and quality completion.
Develop, edit, and maintain content and other documentation that enhance the effectiveness of on-the-job training and inquiry-based (hands on) learning.
A bachelor’s degree is required, with a master’s degree preferred in Technology, Science, Technical Writing, or Instructional Design.
Your Background
Advanced knowledge and in-depth experience in adult micro-learning, skill- and role-based training design, skill mapping, learning levels and learning paths, people-centric, scenario-based, and adaptive learning methodologies.
Experience in development and maintenance of high-stakes internal examinations.
Advanced experience using: Camtasia, Articulate 360 (Storyline, Review, and Rise), Screen Capture, Vyond, Synthesia, Adobe Creative Suite, and a Learning Management System.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in andragogy learning, training, and/or knowledge content management in manufacturing, engineering, higher education, and/or technology industries is required.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable working with employees across the organization.
Demonstrated flexibility to adjust training approaches to meet evolving employee needs.

The minimum salary for this position in the location specified is as follows:
Starting from: 44 800 € gross annual (Only for Italy).
In addition to the base salary, this role includes a performance bonus and a results-based bonus, designed to reward both individual contribution and company performance.
The final offer will be based on candidate location, skills and qualifications, experience, and aligned with internal pay structures.
