Description
Markon is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to support an Intelligence Community customer by developing and executing quality assurance methodologies for enterprise software applications. This role performs manual and automated testing to identify defects, validate system functionality, and ensure software solutions meet established requirements and quality standards. The Senior Software Test Engineer will collaborate with developers and Agile teams throughout the software development lifecycle to improve application quality, reliability, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute software test plans, test cases, and quality control methodologies for enterprise applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and automated testing to identify defects and determine root causes.
- Test web-based applications and validate functionality against system and user requirements.
- Develop and maintain automated test solutions and reusable testing frameworks.
- Evaluate software, hardware, and associated documentation for quality and compliance.
- Document, track, and communicate defects and test results using GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
- Participate in formal and informal software reviews throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with developers and Agile teams to troubleshoot issues, improve test coverage, and deliver production-ready software.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required.
- Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant software testing, quality assurance, or software development experience.
- Experience developing and executing software test plans and test cases.
- Experience with GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
- Experience testing applications developed using Java/J2EE.
- Experience developing automated tests using Selenium WebDriver or comparable automation tools.
- Experience testing web-based enterprise applications.
- Experience performing manual and automated software testing.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and quality assurance practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Desired:
- Experience building and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
- Experience working within SAFe or Agile development teams.
- ISTQB Certified Tester or comparable software testing certification.
Salary Range
USD $130,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
