Description
Candidates should be flexible and willing to float to related nursing units as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Clinical Care: Perform thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs and telemetry rhythms, administer medications, and carry out physician-ordered treatments for Med-Surg and Telemetry patients.
- Patient Monitoring & Response: Continually evaluate patient status, recognize critical changes in cardiac telemetry or clinical condition, and intervene swiftly in emergency situations.
- Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing staff to execute and update individualized care plans and coordinate smooth care transitions.
- Patient & Family Education: Provide clear discharge instructions, disease management guidance, and post-care education to patients and their support systems.
- Documentation & Safety: Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in accordance with healthcare regulations and strict patient safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Clinical Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience [Required].
- Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) License [Required].
- Background: Previous travel nursing experience or background in a Critical Access Hospital setting [Highly Preferred].
