As a Screener supporting a government location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and communicating professionally with employees and the public. You will help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence, accurate reporting, and attentive service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals and personal belongings using assigned screening equipment and established procedures; identify and report prohibited items, irregularities, and policy violations to site leadership.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorized access requirements for persons entering designated government facility areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate screening logs, incident documentation, and shift activity records; conduct periodic checks of assigned entry points and surrounding areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
