What You Bring to the Table
We are seeking an experienced, motivated Commercial Drywall Foreman to join our Self-Managed Construction Operations team. As a Drywall Foreman, you will lead and supervise the installation teams of metal framing, drywall, and finishing on-site. We are looking for a leader with a positive attitude, strong technical skills, and a consistent dedication to safety and quality of work. You'll work closely with Project Superintendents, Production Managers, and Project Managers to plan day-to-day activities, track budgets, enforce safety regulations, and ensure work is completed efficiently, on time, and under the highest quality standards.

Core Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Security and Compliance:
- Understand, follow, and enforce all OSHA standards, site safety regulations, and Beck safety policies (Zero Accident Plan).
- Develop and manage Occupational Hazard Analysis (JHA); ensure that all personnel are properly trained and work safely.
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas on a daily basis.
Field Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead, direct, and schedule the daily work activities for the Drywall, Structure, and Finishes teams.
- Discipline, mentor, and train trainees, journeymen, and future team members.
- Maintain team morale, set the example, and set the standard for a respectful and productive work environment.
- Perform drywall installer work at an official level, as well as metal structure (light and heavy gauge) and ceiling systems when necessary.
Planning, Execution and Operations:
- Read, interpret, and review architectural, structural, and coordination plans/model specifications.
- Draw architectural plans according to the set of construction plans provided.
- Sequence the scope of work effectively to meet schedule deadlines, quality standards, and budget targets.
- Identify conflicts in drawings or different conditions on the site and generate Requests for Information (RFIs) in a timely manner.
- Participate in Lean Construction principles, such as huddles, pull planning, and schedule updates.
Materials, Equipment and Cost Management:
- Perform material quantifications and manage your orders with the office/management to ensure continuous work on site.
- Monitor inventory, manage rented equipment, and inspect company tools.
- Record the team's daily/weekly production reports and maintain continuous cost summaries against the project budget.
- Record and submit daily crew time tracking using designated logging systems (SmartBarrel, CMiC).

Who We Think Will Be a Great Fit
Qualities include a significant amount of work experience as a light metal wall installer and drywall installer. At least 3 to 7 years of previous experience in people management is also an advantage, especially on a construction site. The ability to maintain a budget is also helpful, and proven skills for performing estimating work are desirable. Having a training degree associated with the field is essential, or providing references to functions as a foreman in previous jobs.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 to 5+ years active as a Foreman. Experience in marketing of metal structures, layout, installation of drywall and finishes as an official or foreman.
- Proven track record in managing personnel, budgets, and production on commercial construction sites.
- Bilingual English/Spanish
Technical Skills and Certifications:
- Solid knowledge of commercial construction processes, materials, light and heavy gauge steel structure, drywall, and Acoustical Ceiling Tile Systems (ATC). Metal Doors (HMDF)
- Ability to accurately read and interpret architectural and structural plans. (Shop Drawings)
- Basic management of software and construction tools (Procore, FieldWire, Bluebeam, MS Office package).
- Active training/certifications in WHMIS, work at heights, and OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 are valued

- Detail-oriented, proactive in problem solving, and with a high sense of urgency to complete projects on time and within budget.

Physical Demands
Constant movement around the work on uneven surfaces. He frequently climbed up and down ladders, scaffolding, fixed ladders, freight elevators, and worked from elevated or man-for-man platforms. Constant work in various weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors. Materials, tools, and equipment weighing between 50 and 75 pounds (22 to 34 kg) are frequently moved. Ability to stand for long periods, bend completely, bend, kneel, and turn your body while wearing a tool belt. Constant communication with workers, superintendents, suppliers, and other project team members. Ability to provide timely and consistent support.
