Find angles to advance major breaking national security news under tight deadlines. In addition to working on ambitious projects, this position will also be expected to file regularly and take part in the daily report when the news cycle demands it.
Unearth and report fresh features on clandestine operations and cyber threats.
Collaborate with colleagues across the bureau and around the world to conceive and execute ambitious, large-scale projects and series showing how national security impacts global markets and politics.
You Have:
At least 7 years of professional journalism experience, with a distinct track record of dominating a highly competitive beat.
Deep sourcing within the intelligence community, military, Capitol Hill or cybersecurity sectors, and a proven ability to develop sources.
Use data, digital forensics, or investigative techniques to find original approaches to complex subjects.
Expertise in translating technical programs into authoritative, clear, and gripping narratives for a sophisticated global audience.
A collaborative spirit and a desire to work with visuals, graphics, and data teams.
To Apply:
