Position Summary:

Your Impact (Essential Duties)

  • Assist with organizing, scanning, uploading, and maintaining client tax documents within firm systems
  • Support the tax team by tracking receipt of client information and helping ensure all required documentation is collected timely
  • Assist with preparing and assembling tax return packages, engagement files, and related correspondence
  • Enter and maintain client and tax-related information in firm databases and workflow management systems with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Help monitor filing deadlines, extension requests, and return statuses to support efficient workflow management
  • Assist with electronic filing processes, including preparation and tracking of signature documents and authorizations
  • Support administrative aspects of tax engagements, including document requests, file maintenance, and data verification
  • Communicate clearly with internal team members regarding missing information, document issues, and workflow updates
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive client financial and personal information
  • Contribute to team projects and participate in learning opportunities and training sessions
  • Perform other duties and display flexibility to take on a variety of responsibilities assigned by firm leadership
  • Meet agreed upon targets to fulfill individual performance and overall firm productivity

Your Background

  • Required: Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, office administration, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when working with documentation and data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and seek feedback to improve your work
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
  • Interest in gaining experience within a tax, accounting, or professional services environment
  • Availability to work part-time or full-time during the internship term, with flexibility during peak deadlines
