Who we're looking for
Toyota’s Accounting and Finance Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Cost Management Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support financial analysis and cost functions for the San Antonio, TX plant, however, there could be some overlap in other re
gion 4 locations (CA & MX).
Reporting to the A&F Manager, the person in this role will support the Accounting & Finance] department's objective to monitor, develop, promote cost reduction activities and to meet company KPIs.
What you’ll be doing
• Provide cost leadership for TMMTX management, including budget coordination, cost reporting and analysis, and ad-hoc support related to cost inquiries.
• Support the monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial closing, completing monthly journal entries, and variance analysis.
• Conduct shop cost actual versus budget, forecast, and ideal cost planning target variance analysis
• Review, analyze, and route operating ringis in support of plant operations.
• Perform cost lead activities, including go-and-see activities to support cost reduction reporting as well as system reconciliation.
• Provide physical inventory support & audit as needed.
• Participate in activities which support Toyota Way culture at the NAMC.
What you bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work related experience
• 3+ years of Manufacturing Cost Accounting experience, including Cost and usage variance analysis and standard cost development
• 3+ years of experience supporting Monthly Close Processes
• 3+years of experience with budgeting and forecasting manufacturing operating expenses
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (advanced skill level); technically competent in graphing and charting
• Proficient in Office 365 tools such as Teams & SharePoint
• Must be able to build and maintain relationships throughout the business
• Able to negotiate aggressive targets, while working with the same teams on problems and projects to accomplish company goals
Added bonus if you have
• Advanced degree
• CPA or CMA
• 2+ years of experience with SAP Financials
• Strong Toyota mind set TBP, JKK, PDCA
• 2+ years of experience with BPC Planning for SAP
• 1+ years of experience working for an Automotive Manufacturing company
• 1+ years of experience in Toyota Accounting & Finance
• Working experience with Microsoft Power BI (including data importation, slicer manipulation, report creation and troubleshooting)
• 1+ years of experience with Inventory Accounting, including inventory count audits and reconciliation
• Experience with Power Point and Presentation Skills
• Experience with Power Automate or other automation tools
