JOB SUMMARY
Cresco Labs is seeking an Inventory Control Lead to join our warehouse team. The Inventory Control Lead will be responsible for supporting the team in performing cycle counts in the warehouse and vaults; including cultivation, work-in-progress, bulk and finished goods inventory. We are looking for an associate with great attention to detail to maintain an accurate inventory. The Inventory Control Lead will need to work closely with Inventory management as well as other departments to help ensure accuracy and excellence in customer order fulfillment.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Conduct daily cycle counts of finished goods items in electronic systems
- Conduct monthly cycle counts of all electronic system locations and summarize findings
- Conduct an annual cycle count at the end of every year and summarize the findings
- Ensures bulk material & finished goods are physically & electronically accurate within inventory system
- Maintains accurate records of inventory and changes, including transfers and cycle counts
- Conduct monthly cycle counts of all electronic system locations and promptly transcribe the findings

- Identify count discrepancies for escalation
- Replenishes and controls finished goods in vaults
- Maintain products awaiting disposal
- Conduct disposal of products designated for disposal
- Partner with other departments to reconcile errors
- Support in the implementation of procedures to prevent errors
- Support the manager during visits from state officials or third-party auditors by assisting with their inquiries and providing detailed information about inventory, ensuring smooth and efficient walkthroughs
- Stay up to date with local and state regulations surrounding cannabis inventory control (e.g., seed-to-sale tracking systems, proper labeling, and packaging).
- Supervise and train inventory staff, ensuring they follow proper inventory control procedures and comply with safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Provide ongoing support and training to new employees or cross-train existing staff in inventory management tasks.
- Provide inventory data and insights daily to manager to assist in schedule planning and demand forecasting
- Operates lift equipment as needed
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Must have at least 1 year (2-3 years preferable) of hands-on experience in a factory, production or manufacturing fast-paced environment with measurable goals and working standards.
- 1+ years of experience in training, leading and/or mentoring junior staff or new hires preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Forklift experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications including Microsoft Excel
- Intermediate math skills
- High level of organization skills
- Deadline-driven and detail-oriented
- Sincere commitment to work collaboratively with all company departments and employees
- Requires work around plant material, which could include exposure to plant pollen and/or dust.
- Requires ability to sit, stand, kneel, and/or do repetitive actions with your hands for long periods of time.
- Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs to torso level.
