At Lam, as a Supply Chain Business Manager, you play a crucial role in partnering with suppliers to drive operational excellence. Your data-driven approach ensures effective planning, scheduling, and monitoring material movement through our dynamic global production cycle. You’ll benchmark and monitor supplier performance to manage risk. By driving continuous supplier process improvements you support the productivity and efficiency of Lam's operations.
## What you’ll do
We have an exciting opportunity in the Mechatronics commodity to be able to support Lam’s growth in the coming years. This position is part of the Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) organization. In this position, you, as a Supplier Business Manager, play a vital role with the Mechatronics suppliers. You will have the opportunity to support the commodity strategy and work across organizations on key objectives such as driving suppliers to deliver to commitments and key performance metrics, support business continuity plan adoption and execution, and execute deliveries within available supplier capacity. You are the key interface to the supplier’s operations and own their performance to Lam.
The candidate will represent the Supply Chain on cross-functional teams with Product Management, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Supplier Quality Engineers. Candidate should be a result-driven, self-starter possessing strong interpersonal skills with a strong focus on supporting customers. This individual should also possess the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, to adapt to changing priorities and work independently in a close-knit team setting.
Candidate will define & monitor metrics in line with AOP (annual operating plan) objectives relative to supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous improvement; then drives team to address and close gaps to meet objectives.
## Who we’re looking for
- Familiarity with semiconductors, electrical equipment, or high-technology supply chain management practices, standards, and organizations.
- Strong business acumen, verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate effectively with various levels and roles throughout the organization.
- Technical understanding of electro-mechanical assemblies, manufacturing processes, commercial off-the-shelf items and OEM components.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, or applied sciences.
## Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or MBA
- Proven experience of strong analytical and problem-solving skills with history of successful resolution
- At least 5 years of working in the Semiconductor Equipment Industry Experience, working with global suppliers

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
