Main Responsibilities

• Implement individualized early intervention programmes as prescribed by the Child & Family Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist and/or Occupational Therapist.

• Deliver structured, play-based, and developmentally appropriate intervention sessions addressing communication, social, behavioral, sensory, attention, play, and functional skills.

• Apply approved evidence-based intervention strategies (e.g. ABA-informed, naturalistic developmental, functional skill approaches) in accordance with the child’s intervention plan.

• Carry out intervention activities consistently, accurately, and within approved clinical guidelines.

• Support skill generalization through caregiver coaching and guided participation during sessions.

• Ensure continuous supervision of children and maintain a safe, therapeutic, and child-friendly environment at all times.

• Participate in multidisciplinary developmental assessments and early intervention evaluations as required.

• Collect, record, and maintain accurate session data, behavioral observations, and progress measures to support outcome monitoring.

• Provide timely feedback and clinical observations to supervising clinicians to inform intervention review and modification.

• Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team, including Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, and Rehabilitation Physicians, to ensure coordinated care.

• Attend and contribute to case discussions, team meetings, and supervision sessions as scheduled.

• Practice strictly within the defined scope of an Early Interventionist and promptly escalate issues beyond scope.

• Adhere to organizational policies, safeguarding and child protection standards, infection control requirements, and confidentiality obligations.

• Identify, manage, and promptly report incidents, injuries, safeguarding concerns, and near misses in accordance with governance procedures.

• Manage caseloads and administrative responsibilities effectively, including punctual attendance, accurate documentation, case handovers, and professional communication with parents/caregivers within scope.

• Participate in mandatory training, supervision, and continuous professional development, including periodic competency assessments, while contributing to early intervention service development, quality improvement, or programme enhancement. JOB REQUIREMENT

Education:

Minimum Qualification

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Special Education, Rehabilitation Sciences, or other related health or developmental disciplines.

Preferred Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant allied health or behavioral science discipline.

• Formal training or certification in early intervention, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), developmental therapy, or related evidence-based intervention approaches.

• Experience working with children with neurodevelopmental conditions is preferred. l Experience in early intervention, special needs education, or paediatric therapy support roles will be an advantage.

Knowledge & Experience (Education-Linked)

• Foundational knowledge of child development, developmental milestones, and early childhood learning principles.

• Understanding of neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), global developmental delay, ADHD, and sensory processing challenges.

• Familiarity with early intervention frameworks, family-centered care, and play-based intervention models.

• Experience working with infants and young children with developmental delays or disabilities in clinical, educational, or community settings.

• Exposure to implementing structured or individualized intervention programmes under supervision.

• Basic knowledge of evidence-based early intervention approaches (e.g. ABA-informed strategies, naturalistic developmental approaches).

• Experience in data collection, session documentation, and progress monitoring.

• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and follow clinical guidance from supervising professionals.

• Understanding of safeguarding, child protection, confidentiality, and infection control practices in a healthcare or child-focused setting.
