Responsibilities
You will support projects throughout the engineering and procurement phases, ensuring the accuracy of technical documentation, the proper selection of equipment, and effective coordination with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
Main activity:
- Prepare and issue technical documentation, including data sheets, mechanical specifications, technical descriptions, and basic and detailed engineering deliverables
- Participate in the development of technical proposals and translate process parameters such as load, temperature, pressure, and flow rate into equipment and system configurations
- Select and perform technical evaluations of industrial mechanical equipment
- Provide technical support for rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, blowers, decanters, and centrifuges
- Review technical documentation submitted by subcontractors and manufacturers, including fabrication drawings, calculation reports, test certificates, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and operation and maintenance manuals
- Verify supplier documentation for compliance with project requirements
- Monitor document review cycles and manage technical queries and clarifications
- Participate in the review of P&IDs and general arrangement (GA) drawings
- Support the integration of mechanical equipment within industrial facilities
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Provide technical assistance during installation and commissioning activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering within industries such as energy, industrial processes, or water and wastewater treatment
- Hands-on experience in the selection and/or technical review of rotating equipment
- Experience working on EP (Engineering & Procurement) or EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) industrial projects is considered an advantage
- Participation in HAZOP, LOPA, or other risk and safety assessment studies is considered an advantage
Essential skills
- Knowledge of relevant mechanical standards and codes, such as ASME, API, and EN/ISO
- Experience in preparing technical data sheets, specifications, and MR/RFQ (Material Requisition/Request for Quotation) documentation
- Ability to read and review P&IDs and General Arrangement (GA) drawings
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Advanced English language proficiency (written and spoken) is required
