Description
Adheres to all safety procedures and enforces safety regulations within the laboratories Prepares chemicals, media and supplies for laboratory classes Maintains inventory for equipment, glassware, chemicals, live and preserved materials Submits orders in a timely manner Purchases materials and living specimens from local stores Maintains and cleans laboratory glassware, equipment, cabinets, shelves, animal cages, pre? carts and laboratory rooms Maintains and provides care for living specimens/animals Keeps greenhouse in good condition for efficient and safe use Serves as a role model for student workers Reports problems/issues to the Director Interacts with supervisor, faculty and coworkers to ensure efficient function of the laboratories Monitors security of the laboratories and lab equipment Performs related duties as assigned
- Associate's degree in Science
- Science Lab experience preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of science equipment, materials and safety practices Computer literacy to include Microsoft Office products Reliable transportation Valid driver's license preferred Ability to walk/stand for up to 7 hours Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to climb two flights of stairs and ladder/step stool
