About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and strategic leader to support AI literacy and adoption initiatives across R&D. This role works across the AI Literacy team, to ensure a cohesive and impactful experience for R&D employees.
The Associate Director will bring a strong clinical and scientific perspective while helping shape content, identify high-value use cases for tools, engage stakeholders, and drive responsible AI adoption across the organization. This individual will help connect the needs of R&D functions with AI literacy initiatives, ensuring programs are relevant, practical, and aligned with business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Work across the AI Literacy team to support the design, development, and delivery of AI literacy and adoption initiatives.
- Partner with stakeholders across R&D ensure AI literacy efforts are relevant and aligned with business needs.
- Provide clinical and scientific input into programs, toolkits, communications, use cases, and enablement resources.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to validate the accuracy, relevance, and applicability of AI literacy materials.
- Support stakeholder engagement activities, presentations, and communications that translate AI concepts into practical applications for R&D audiences.
- Contribute to the development of narratives and examples that help employees understand the opportunities and limitations of AI in R&D.
- Support cross-functional collaboration across the AI Literacy team to ensure consistency, alignment, and reuse of best practices.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred; advanced degree in a scientific, clinical, biomedical, or technical field is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in clinical, scientific, medical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare-related roles.
- Experience translating scientific or clinical concepts into educational, strategic, or business-focused communications.
- Experience working effectively across matrixed and cross-functional organizations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience presenting to scientific, technical, and business audiences.
- Familiarity with AI and GenAI concepts and their potential application within research, clinical development, or medical affairs environments.
- Understanding of data science, analytics, or computational approaches relevant to healthcare and life sciences.
- Ability to evaluate the applicability and limitations of AI tools in scientific and clinical settings.
- Experience in therapeutic area, clinical development, translational medicine, medical affairs, or related scientific functions is preferred.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:
€75,000.00 - €129,260.00

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
