The School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) in NTU is renowned for its research prowess in advanced manufacturing, aerospace, biomedical, industrial, maritime engineering, and robotics. Aligned with Singapore’s RIE2030 strategy, MAE drives technological innovation, bolstering local manufacturing and engineering sectors.
MAE offers comprehensive undergraduate programmes in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, ensuring students gain a robust engineering foundation and modern technological expertise. At the graduate level, MAE provides Master of Science programmes and Ph.D. opportunities that emphasize industry-relevant skills and cutting-edge research, preparing students for leadership roles in their fields.
The Executive, Outreach (Industry Partnerships) supports the University’s mission by strengthening industry engagement, creating meaningful employment and internship opportunities for MAE graduate students, and enhancing graduate employability through coordinated outreach initiatives and strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Outreach & Stakeholder Engagement
Identify target industries, associations, and potential partner organizations.
Engage industry partners to identify and secure employment and internship opportunities for students.
Event Planning & Coordination with Students and Programme Directors.
Manage end-to-end planning for seminars and industry visits (concept, agenda, speakers, venues, logistics).
Coordinate with speakers, venues, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution.
Act as a backup or support lead for other organizational events (workshops, seminars) as needed, including planning, logistics, and on-site support.
2. Marketing & Communications Support
Collaborate with Marketing to promote events through email campaigns, social media, and industry networks.
Maintain accurate contact records, track outreach activities, and monitor attendance and engagement metrics.
Requirements:
Diploma in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Human Resource or a related field.
At least 3 years’ experience in partnerships or business development; experience with industry seminars or corporate visits is a plus; demonstrated ability to support other types of events is beneficial.
Excellent written and verbal communication; persuasive and professional presentation skills.
Project management with the ability to manage multiple events concurrently.
Strong networking and relationship-building capabilities.
Budgeting, vendor management, and contract negotiation skills.
