What you'll be doing
We’re modernising with cloud: a platform that is quick, secure and resilient for customers, and easy, modern and green for developers.
We’re looking for Infrastructure Specialists to join our Private Cloud Platform team, specialising in VMware technologies with a particular focus on VMware Cloud Foundation.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of an ambitious team driving our technology modernisation agenda and helping us become the biggest FinTech in the UK. The role is firmly focused on automation-first platform engineering, shaping how infrastructure platforms, including VMware Cloud Foundation and Dell hardware, are built, deployed and operated through infrastructure-as-code. You'll help reduce manual intervention and enable safe, repeatable change at scale.
We’re looking for hands-on Infrastructure Specialists to help deliver the next generation of compute hosting platforms across our Private Cloud ecosystem. You'll design, build, operate and continuously improve services running on VMware and Bare Metal platforms.
Using platform engineering and infrastructure-as-code principles, you'll drive automation, resilience, security and operational excellence across the platform lifecycle.
As a technical authority, you'll provide expert guidance while working with internal teams, partners and vendors to deliver scalable, secure infrastructure solutions.
Why join us?
We’re on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we’re shaping finance for good. We’re focusing on the future, investing in our technologies, workplaces, and colleagues to make our Group a great place for everyone.

Proven experience as an Infrastructure or Platform Engineer working in a private cloud environment, with infrastructure expertise.
Experience with compute infrastructure technologies, including one or more of the following: VMware vSpehere or Cloud Foundation, vSAN, NSX, Aria Suite, Dell Server Hardware
Experience designing and operating platforms using automation and infrastructure‑as‑code
Source Code Management (Git / GitHub)
Understanding of security, compliance and resilience in enterprise environments
Experience supporting production platforms with high availability and performance requirements
You’ll should be able to demonstrate experience in:

Designing or contributing to Hybrid Private Cloud solutions
Backup, restore and disaster recovery processes
Performance tuning and optimisation
Incident, problem and defect management (Level 3 / 4)
Secure configuration and compliance with enterprise standards
Analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills
Any experience of these would be really useful:
Cisco ACI Networks
SAN Storage
Observability and monitoring tooling (e.g. Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana)
Experience modernising legacy platforms
Scripting and automation (e.g. Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform)
Experience working with regulated or financial services environments
Azure VMware Solution
Certifications in VMware technologies
Experience contributing to platform standards, patterns or internal engineering communities
Experience working closely with product owners and architecture teams
