Finance Solution Architect

As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for understanding requirements / problem statements specific to the Finance Value Stream and build solution architectures which meet those requirements. The Finance workstream covers Accounting, Controls, Tax, FP&A, Treasury, Audit and Real Estate. Understand various enterprise/strategic applications, security policies /standards defined in Eaton, apply architecture best practices to craft an architecture that is Secure, scalable, cost effective, performance efficient and resilient. You will drive and/or take part in technical solutions discussions, present your architectures along with supporting artifacts to council of enterprise architects, business, cyber security team and other stakeholders to get their feedback and accommodate it in your architecture.

You will help the business in evaluating technical capabilities of SaaS applications in the market which could potentially meet business requirements, rate, recommend preferred SaaS application and develop architecture to onboard it, integrate it with other Eaton on premises/ cloud hosted/ SaaS applications as applicable. You will provide architectures to integrate existing Eaton applications to meet a specific business need.

Where SaaS application is not an option, you will provide architectures to develop applications internally with a cloud first mindset. You are further responsible for working with the development teams and providing design oversight and guidance at varying levels during project execution. Finally, the solutions architect is charged with ensuring solutions are in support of strategic goals for the company – both business and IT.

## What you’ll do:

• Design scalable technical solutions aligned with business needs and enterprise standards.
• Create process, dataflow, BPMN, and ArchiMate models.
• Ensure solutions are feasible, sustainable, secure, compliant, and disaster-recovery ready.
• Manage non-functional requirements, technical debt, enablers, and architectural runway.
• Support continuous integration and delivery to enable rapid feedback and improvement.
• Evaluate technical capabilities, conduct POCs, and guide solution selection.
• Collaborate with architects, Product Owners, Cyber Security, and other stakeholders to ensure end-to-end architectural alignment.
• Support product roadmaps and efficient sequencing of solution rollouts.

## Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of software industry experience.

• Strong knowledge of Finance domains, including Accounting & Controls, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Audit.

• Experience with Finance systems and translating business requirements into technical solutions.

• Expertise in enterprise software architecture, design patterns, APIs, microservices, and scalable distributed systems.

• Strong knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD, test automation, cybersecurity, and secure coding practices.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as encryption, hashing, certificates, PKIs, Threat Modeling, secure coding, and OWASP.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, business process modelling, and capability-based planning.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across technical, business, and global teams.
