Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Construction in Mesa, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Officer at a high-tech data center location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control and security-related operations. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and work as part of a team that reflects Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a critical infrastructure location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report unauthorized access concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior perimeter, parking areas, and restricted areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift documentation while maintaining a professional presence in an industrial environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
