Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.

This role is contributing to the Marketing & Sales Electrification Segment in San Pedro, Nuevo Leon.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Offers technical advice and provides comment on specifications for customers/channels/Sales Engineers regarding ABB products/systems/applications.
• Plans and implements multiple simultaneous electrical projects at various customer work sites in the US, including the activities of staff and subcontractors.  Identifies and manages opportunities to expand projects in ways that bring value to our customer and satisfy profitability requirements, including change orders. Electrical projects will be focused in the commercial construction markets and may include, but are not limited to, retail, airports, entertainment, hospitals, education (schools, colleges, universities), multi-story residential and Data Centers.
• Serves as the primary customer contact for the duration of each project. May commission, resolve specification issues, handle correspondence, provide periodic updates, ensure customer satisfaction, and negotiate/coordinate with staff as appropriate.
• Prepares and delivers technical presentations and demonstrations for both internal staff and customers on complex product issues.
• Offers product/solution/service-related training to customers and other stakeholders.
• Prepares and checks technical documents for submittal to customers.
   

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, mechatronic, or a related engineering field.
• 3+ years of experience as a project manager in the electrical, automotive, or manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in Salesforce, SAP (ERP), and Microsoft Project.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Experience managing 15+ simultaneous projects (including low-voltage products and construction projects for facilities such as schools and hospitals).
• Experience in stakeholder management (interacting with clients and external partners).
• Knowledge and application of ABB products; ability to read electrical and single-line diagrams.
• Strong skills in customer care, automation, and process improvement, with the ability to engage and build solid relationships with both customers and management.
• Advanced English proficiency is required for this role.
