Purpose:

The Alternate Quality Control Manager / Inspector assists and supports  the Quality Control Manager when required to ensure quality system implementation, compliance, effectiveness, and control. As the Central Zone Quality Inspector, this position ensures quality conformance, performance, and technical objectives are defined, monitored, measured, and achieved.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

When required this position will assist and support the Quality Control Manager as follows:

 

• Ensures effective implementation of the ISO 9001:2015 (or 2026) Quality Management System and Quality Control Plan.
• Acts as point of contact with customer quality surveillance entities to ensure that customer requirements and expectations are being achieved.
• Conducts performance metric monitoring, measurement, and analysis.
• Facilitates quality related self-assessments using program quality assessment guidelines.
• Conducts Quality related training as required (i.e., ISO awareness, root cause analysis, corrective action, process improvement)

 

Quality Control Inspector Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and spot inspections of base facilities, housing, public works projects, grounds maintenance, fleet logistics, and janitorial services to verify contract compliance.
• Ensure that day-to-day operations align directly with the approved site Quality Control Plan (QCP) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) guidelines.
• Ensure all inspected site operations comply with safety standards, environmental policies, OSHA, and Host Nation mandates.
• Coordinate closely with the Quality Control Manager to present reliable data, records, and performance updates during official government audits and inspections.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 

Education:

• High school diploma or Foreign Country equivalent

 

Experience:

• A minimum of five years of quality control experience supporting programs similar in scope to the Total Maintenance Contract (e.g.; Facilities operations, preventive maintenance, repair, construction and equipment).
• A minimum of five years of management experience supporting programs similar in scope to the Total Maintenance Contract (e.g.; Facilities operations, preventive maintenance, repair, construction and equipment).
• A minimum of three years performing quality assurance/control functions in an industrial environment managing within an ISO 9001 Quality Standard quality management systems.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Must possess Level B German language proficiency.
• Must possess knowledge to maintain a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001 2015 (or 2026) quality standard requirements.
• Must be able to maintain an inspection and audit schedule, and perform inspections and audits of procedures, PWS requirements, and work / services verified as acceptable and meeting customer and regulatory requirements.
• Possess the appropriate verbal and written communications skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, and prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Capable of developing management level presentations and reports.

Certification, License & Clearance:

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred. 

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell.  Requires climbing on ladders, scaffolding, and platforms standing, bending, and working in cramped areas; lifting and carrying tools and equipment which occasionally may weigh over 40 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk and risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
