Job description

The role

• Work directly with international customers in English to understand workflows, pain points, and technical constraints, and identify high-ROI opportunities for AI-driven automation.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into practical solution designs and implementation plans.
• Design, build, integrate, and operate secure, reliable, and maintainable applications, APIs, data pipelines, and cloud solutions.
• Rapidly prototype and validate solutions with customers.
• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot solutions in enterprise cloud environments.
• Present solutions, explain technical trade-offs, collect feedback, and drive continuous improvement.
• Define success criteria and measure delivered solutions against expected business outcomes.
• Identify reusable components and feed customer insights back into internal engineering practices.
• Take end-to-end ownership from discovery through production deployment and operation.
• Participating in 24x7 on-call rotation and perform after hours support, as needed
• Working on shifts

What will you bring

• Strong English communication skills, with the ability to independently discuss requirements, lead technical discussions, and present solutions to international customers.
• Strong hands-on software engineering experience with Python, Java, TypeScript, or similar languages.
• Good knowledge of APIs, SQL/databases, system integration, testing, Git, containers, and CI/CD.
• Experience building, deploying, or operating production applications and services.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with ambiguous and evolving customer requirements.
• High ownership, autonomy, and ability to quickly learn new technologies and business domains.

Technical Expertise

Strong expertise in at least one of the following:

• Application / AI: Backend/full-stack, APIs, GenAI/LLMs, RAG, AI agents, AI evaluation.
• Data: SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT, Spark, data integration, data platforms.
• Cloud / Platform: AWS/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, IAM/security, observability, SRE.

Nice to Have

• Domain expertise in Rail & Transportation, Logistics, FinTech, HealthTech, or Supply Chain.
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers.
• Consulting, Solution Architecture, or Business Analysis experience with hands-on engineering.
• Experience deploying and operating solutions in complex enterprise environments.
• Experience leading discovery workshops, technical demonstrations, or customer presentations.
• Japanese communication skills or experience working with Japanese customers.
