Job Summary
The Procurement Analyst supports enterprise procurement and category management through data-driven analysis, supplier coordination, and execution of vendor projects across multiple Biomerics locations. This role converts spend, pricing, demand, inventory, and supplier-performance data into actionable recommendations; partners with site and functional stakeholders; and helps deliver cost, service, working-capital, and supply-risk objectives. The successful candidate will communicate clearly, influence without direct authority, and manage projects through completion in a remote, cross-functional environment.
Responsibilities
· Analyze enterprise and site-level spend, purchase price, demand, inventory, lead-time, and supplier-performance data to identify sourcing and process-improvement opportunities.
· Manage vendor projects across multiple Biomerics locations, including project plans, milestones, stakeholder alignment, issue resolution, and status reporting.
· Support category strategies through market research, supplier benchmarking, opportunity sizing, and business-case development.
· Develop and maintain procurement dashboards, scorecards, savings trackers, and recurring reports using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other business intelligence tools.
· Partner with site purchasing, planning, operations, quality, engineering, finance, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and implement sourcing initiatives.
· Communicate recommendations to diverse audiences and influence stakeholders to adopt standardized suppliers, processes, terms, and specifications where appropriate.
· Prepare requests for information, quotations, and proposals; analyze supplier responses; and support fact-based supplier selection decisions.
· Support supplier negotiations by developing cost models, price comparisons, demand profiles, and total-cost-of-ownership analyses.
· Track cost savings, cost avoidance, payment-term improvements, supplier consolidation, and other procurement value metrics in accordance with company standards.
· Monitor supplier delivery, quality, responsiveness, capacity, and financial or operational risk; coordinate corrective actions and escalations as needed.
· Maintain accurate supplier, contract, pricing, and item data in procurement and ERP systems.
· Identify opportunities to improve purchasing controls, standard work, data quality, and procurement processes across locations.
· Support supplier business reviews and prepare clear meeting materials, performance summaries, action logs, and follow-up communications.
· Balance multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and provide timely updates in a remote work environment.
· Travel periodically to Biomerics locations and supplier sites as business needs require.
· Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, finance, analytics, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
· Three or more years of purchasing, procurement, and/or category management experience. Experience sourcing maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), packaging, and packaging supplies.
· Demonstrated ability to manage vendor or sourcing projects across multiple locations and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex analysis clearly and influence without direct authority.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to translate data into practical recommendations and measurable actions.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, data validation, and analysis of large data sets.
· Experience with spend analysis, cost modeling, supplier performance metrics, savings tracking, and business-case development.
· Strong project-management, organization, prioritization, and follow-through skills in a fast-paced, remote environment.
· Working knowledge of ERP/MRP and procurement systems; NetSuite experience is preferred.
· Experience in medical device or another regulated manufacturing environment and familiarity with ISO 13485 are preferred.
· Professional procurement or supply chain certification, such as CPSM or CSCP, is a plus.
