Senior UX Research Specialist

As a Senior UX Research Specialist, you will be responsible for setting up, running, and reporting on all aspects of qualitative and quantitative user experience research. You will also design, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure while ensuring performance, reliability, and security.

What You’ll Do In This Role

Plan UX Research

• Analyze and refine product/project stakeholders’ UX-related requests and needs.
• Set up research objectives (with PM) and help PM define the project approach and user experience strategy.
• Define the UX research scope and applicable methods.
• Involve the project/product team (PM, UX Designers, DEV) by organizing UX Research kick-off and follow-up meetings.
• Identify the target users to define the participants to involve in the research.
• Lead the recruitment process.
• Define the number of participants to involve.
• Contact users or outsource the recruitment.
• Ensure participants' profiles are relevant to the research.
• Schedule the sessions.
• Communicate and check participants' agreements with the legal aspects of the research (NDA, audio and video recording, etc.).

Conduct Informative UX Research

Plan, build, conduct, and analyze:

• Contextual and individual interviews.
• Focus groups.
• Field research: shadowing, observation, task analysis, etc.
• Exploratory surveys.
• Analytics analysis.

Based on research findings:

• Generate personas.
• Generate experience charts (blue tabs), including empathy charts (blue tabs), customer journeys, a day in the life of, etc., with target users and internal stakeholders.

Generate and Evaluate User Experience

• Facilitate ideation design sessions with project/product teams to inject UX research findings into the design process (storyboarding, design studio, design charette, etc.).
• Work with UX designers to suggest directions for the UI design based on research findings (information architecture, user interaction model and workflows, design consistency, etc.).

Plan, build, conduct, and analyze user feedback sessions to evaluate the user experience through iterations throughout the development cycle using:

• Participatory design.
• Card sorting.
• Mock-up walkthroughs.
• Prototype user testing.
• Qualitative and quantitative A/B testing.
• Usability testing and productivity testing on live products.

Share Research Findings and Evangelize UX

• Document user research protocols and findings.
• Support the team in injecting research findings into the project.
• Facilitate project communication across the multidisciplinary team through all phases of the project.
• Evangelize UCD (User-Centered Design) by inviting the team to attend user feedback sessions as silent participants.

What We’re Looking For

• Has the required technical/functional knowledge and experience in own discipline. Knowledge of the Amadeus business and how it is related to own area.
• Works using existing procedures or guidelines and provides input to support/influence area decisions. Makes recommendations on new solutions and proposes improvements by analyzing different sources of information.
• Works with a moderate level of guidance and direction from the manager.
