Description
Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a talented Welder job in Spartanburg, SC. In this skilled, dynamic role, you will be responsible for welding complex machinery components, reading advanced blueprints, and helping maintain the quality standards that make this team stand out. In a Welder A job you'll be responsible for:
- Performing superior-quality welds on complex shapes, materials, and designs.
- Reading and interpreting complex blueprints and formulating fabrication plans.
- Conducting quality checks and visual inspections of welded parts.
- Designing jigs and rigs for weldments; operating overhead crane and forklift.
- Assisting the lead with training less experienced welders.
- Following all safety rules and maintaining a clean work area.
What you'll need:
- 5 years of experience in a welding shop using multiple welding disciplines.
- Proficiency with welding machines, precision measuring devices, and hand/power tools.
- Experience with hand plasma cutting and saws.
- Proficient mathematical skills including geometry.
- High School diploma or equivalent (Welding Certification from a technical school preferred).
