Are you looking to start or grow your career in healthcare? We are hiring a Patient Access Representative to support patient registration in our Emergency Department
This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to make a meaningful impact as part of a critical care team.
As a Patient Access Representative in the Emergency Department, you will often be one of the first people patients and families interact with when they arrive for care. This position plays an important role in supporting a smooth and efficient registration process while providing excellent customer service during what may be a stressful or urgent time for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients, families, and visitors with professionalism, empathy, and respect
Collect, verify, and update patient demographic and insurance information
Assist patients with the registration and check-in process
Coordinate with clinical teams to support timely patient care
Accurately enter information into the appropriate systems
Support patient admissions, discharges, and other administrative processes
Maintain confidentiality and follow all applicable policies and procedures
Provide excellent service in a busy Emergency Department setting

Qualifications:
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to remain calm, professional, and compassionate in a fast-paced environment
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and as scheduled
Previous healthcare, registration, scheduling, administrative, or customer service experience preferred, but not required
A passion for helping others and supporting high-quality patient care

Additional Pay: Night and weekend shift differentials are available for eligible hours worked.
Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
