Senior Construction Defect Claims Adjuster - Remote

Overview:

As a Senior Construction Defect Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for managing and resolving Construction Defect claims. Your role will involve investigating claims, assessing coverage, and negotiating settlements to ensure fair and accurate resolutions. You will work closely with various stakeholders to deliver efficient claims handling and maintain high customer service standards.

 

Compensation:

• $110,000 - $130,000/year
• Full medical benefits

Job Description

 

• Manage a caseload of construction defect claims, ensuring timely and accurate claim handling.
• Investigate claims to determine liability, coverage, and damages, including reviewing contracts, project plans, and other relevant documents.
• Collaborate with experts, including engineers, contractors, and attorneys, to assess construction defects and associated damages.
• Evaluate policy language to determine coverage applicability and resolve coverage disputes.
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of claim activities and decisions in the claims management system.

 

Requirements

 

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience handling construction defect claims
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and industry regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Active NY Adjuster's License a plus
• Experience handling California Construction Defect Claims a plus
• Litigation experience is required
