Description
Emergency Department Director
Fantastic opportunity to join a mission-driven academic medical center and lead one of the region's busiest Emergency Departments. This leader will oversee clinical and operational performance for a high-volume, high-acuity emergency department while developing frontline leaders, strengthening culture, and driving strategic initiatives.
Highlights:
- Lead an Emergency Department with approximately 128,000–146,000 annual visits.
- Oversight of approximately 400 team members and 4 Nurse Managers.
- Reports to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer, Emergency Services.
- Opportunity to lead culture transformation, manager development, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Academic teaching environment with strong physician and educator partnerships.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of Emergency Department nursing leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success leading through managers and developing leadership teams.
- Experience with staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and operational oversight.
- Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Massachusetts RN license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required.
