- Setup and Operation: Prepare machinery for daily use, load raw materials, and operate equipment according to specifications.
- Monitoring and Control: Monitor production to ensure machines operate efficiently and make adjustments to maintain quality and speed.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance (oiling, cleaning) and fix minor malfunctions to reduce downtime.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products against quality standards to ensure they meet specifications.
- Documentation: Record production data, such as quantity and speed, and report issues to supervisors.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Prior experience in manufacturing or with specific industrial machinery is often required.
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and capability to read blueprints, manuals, or technical diagrams.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Abilities: High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to solve problems quickly.
