This is a rare opportunity to step into a SEND Specialist Teacher QTVI role where your expertise will directly influence outcomes for children and young people with vision impairment across multiple educational settings. You will be trusted to lead specialist practice, shape inclusive provision and build lasting capability within schools.

As a SEND Specialist Teacher QTVI, you will work closely with a specialist coordinator and line manage outreach staff, combining hands‑on assessment and teaching with advisory and strategic responsibilities. This is a role for someone who wants to make a visible, lasting impact beyond a single classroom.
Your role as SEND Specialist Teacher QTVI:

• Deliver specialist assessment and intervention for children and young people with vision impairment
• Model high‑quality, research‑led teaching that improves outcomes
• Provide training, coaching and challenge to schools and settings
• Build strong relationships with families, schools and professionals
• Contribute to quality assurance and borough‑wide SEND strategy
You will work flexibly, moving between settings, supporting early identification of need and ensuring the right provision is in place at the right time.

Your previous experience as SEND Specialist Teacher QTVI:

Qualified Teacher Status with a mandatory post‑graduate qualification in vision impairment
• Strong experience supporting children and young people with SEND/MSI
• Confident understanding of SEND legislation and inclusive practice
• Experience of training, mentoring or line management
• Excellent communication and report‑writing skills

This SEND Specialist Teacher QTVI position offers professional autonomy, influence and the chance to shape inclusive education at scale. If you are ready to take the next step in your career and want your work to genuinely matter, this role delivers exactly that.
