What you will do:

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Raw Materials and Single-Use Systems within MSAT Microbial. 
  • Lead risk assessments and evaluate material impact on process performance, product quality, and supply continuity. 
  • Drive material-related investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls in compliance with GMP requirements. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, QA, QC, Supply Chain, Engineering, Process Development, and external suppliers to resolve technical challenges. 
  • Support material lifecycle management, supplier management, and implementation of mitigation strategies to ensure manufacturing reliability. 
  • Provide technical leadership for material qualification, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Drive standardization and harmonization of material management and single-use system practices in alignment with local and global teams, ensuring consistent application of best practices across the organization.
  • Support regulatory inspections, customer audits, and GMP compliance activities.

What we are looking for:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, process support, material management, or related GMP-regulated environments.
  • Strong expertise in Raw Materials, Single-Use Systems, supplier management, and lifecycle management.
  • Profound understanding of GMP requirements, risk management methodologies, deviations, CAPAs, and change control processes.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving complex technical investigations.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional stakeholders without formal line authority, driving alignment, standardization, and execution of material management and single-use system initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to balance scientific, operational, quality, and business requirements in decision making.
  • Structured, solution-oriented, and proactive working style.
  • Fluency in English; German is considered an advantage.
  • Open-minded, collaborative, and passionate about driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
