You are responsible for the establishment and execution of sourcing events (RFI, RFQ, RFPs) for your respective commodity ensuring targeted savings are delivered and supply risks are mitigated. You have a detailed understanding of your commodity characteristics and Tiger Brands’ businesses. You configure and execute (e-)sourcing events and ensure a continuous supply of materials and services that meet the business operational need. You will manage a procurement spend of approx. R400m – R500m. 3 years experience and Diploma in ProcurementWHAT YOU WILL DO:
Provide full support to the Category / Commodity manager in carrying out the defined sourcing strategy (e.g. category analysis, negotiation, selection & contracting etc.)
Understand business requirements and develop a tactical procurement plan for assigned spend with guidance from commodity and category manager
Analyze the commodity spend, supply market and utilize the cost models created by the Supply Chain Centre of Excellence Sourcing Analytics team
Conduct Tiger Brands RFI/Q processes and support in negotiations with suppliers, business stakeholders and internal clients to select suppliers and draft suitable contracts with service/delivery agreements
Compile procurement motivations for approval of RFI/Q awards ensuring compliance with Tiger Brands Procurement Policy and Procedures
Develop, implement and manage supplier contracts for assigned spend with support of the Tiger Brands Legal team.
Coordinate the operational linkage with manufacturing sites to ensure that supplier performance levels are monitored and reported
Integrate with operational procurement to resolve supply issues with suppliers
Provide budgetary input, quarterly cost forecasts, and ZBM’s to commodity managers for review and signoff
Complete commodity ZBM’s (manual and Oracle)
Maintain Supply Risk registers for specified commodities
Be a core part of the NPD project team and lead the procurement requirement for projects managed
Extensive excel knowledge and skills to be deployed to complete evaluations, negotiations and price movements for all categories allocated to this role
Monitor and manage contracts with categories and suppliers to ensure all contracts are valid and risk is managed and mitigated proactively
