Position Description: Clark Builders is hiring a Surveyor for work at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. This role will be responsible for using electronic surveying equipment to survey land and establish boundaries, layouts and elevations.

Reporting to: Superintendent(s)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Shoot coordinates / lines for site works

• Utilize GPS and Topcon equipment for surveying activities

• Comprehend blueprint readings to prepare layouts and do as-builts of the following, but not limited to excavation limits for shallow foundations, concrete pour heights, concrete/foundation corners, concrete embeds and anchors, and underground piping locations

• Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain.

• Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.

• Other duties as required.

• Represent Clark Builders in a professional and respectful manner.

• Adhere to Clark Builders policies and procedures.

Skills and Knowledge:

• A strong aptitude for mathematics and computers

• The ability to visualize objects, distances, sizes, and other abstract forms

• The ability to work outdoors with precise electronic surveying instruments

• Analytical and organizational skills

• The ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Good communication skills

Qualifications:

• Experience working in commercial/industrial construction is considered an asset.

• Valid CSTS 2020, ESC Fall Protection, First Aid Certificate an asset.
