How you will make an impact:
- Develop and improve software applications and tools.
- Analyze large datasets to identify insights into optical network performance.
- Collaborate with engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and testing of software solutions.
- Apply technologies used in optical networking.
The must haves:
- Education: Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field,
- A strong interest in photonics and optical networking.
- Solid programming skills in Python and Javascript.
- Experience using git for version control.
- Comfortable working in a Linux/bash command-line environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Nice to haves:
- Frontend development with technologies like React.
- Containerized application development (Docker, docker-compose).
- Distributed/parallel workloads.
- Working with large datasets.
- Data engineering pipelines (e.g., Snowflake).
- Relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
- Configuring Jenkins or Teamcity.
Pay Range:
The hourly pay range for this position is $25 to $32
