Provide a large, diversified clientele with outstanding customer service by performing the day-to-day administrative and reception functions of the wellness and fitness facility while successfully administering all front desk and juice bar operations. Responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to members, patients and guests in order to ensure retention.Major Job Functions
The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time:
Performs front desk and juice bar roles in a positive manner
Check-in of members and guests, cashiering, inventorying all business forms and supplies, food items, member ID cards, lockers, classes, scheduling appointments, processing membership changes, effective phone work, etc. Prevents non-paying guests from entering the facility
Provides superior service to members and prospects in a timely, professional, and courteous manner
Excels in assisting with the HealthPlex sales efforts and engages all staff in the process by accurately completing procedures including handling prospect inquiry calls, converting calls into scheduled appointments, effective interactions with all prospects and completing new membership paperwork correctly
Works closely with the Membership Services Coordinator, Health Promotions Coordinator, and Director to promote and administer effective retention and membership programs both internally and externally.
Effectively communicates with all levels of staff at the center with written and verbal reporting, establishing an adhering to systems that minimize confusion overlap, and facilitating open communication with the customer service and fitness staff
Assist with membership sales when sales staff is not available or not scheduled to work
Complies with all rules and regulations of the Health Department to maintain a high score on health inspections and for infection control safety
Knowledgeable of all emergency procedures
Cross trained in efficiently delivering all operations, including play center, membership, and laundry in order to support other area efforts as needed

Minimum Qualifications
The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:
Education and Formal Training:
High school graduate or equivalent required
Work Experience:
1 year related experience in a high-volume service industry with cash register experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
Experienced customer service professional to successfully serve a varied membership and respond to specific concerns
Understand basic principles of cashiering including point of sale, cash management and reconciliation, sales and marketing
Capable of instituting and operating efficient accounting and data management systems to effectively manage all membership accounting and utilization data
Ability to apply all HealthPlex Policies and Procedures
Deliver high-quality customer service in a high-traffic administrative area and have a complete understanding of all functional and technical aspects of the center’s operations including filing, phone work, accounting, billing complications, membership freezes, computer systems etc.
Possess solid prospecting, sales, and follow-up skills to capitalize on any potential corporate and retail sales leads to maximize membership growth
High level of oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in basic computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, report generation, etc.)
Knowledgeable of the psychosocial and physiological development and spiritual needs of infants, children, adolescents, and all adult age groups (per Erickson’s Model) in order to provide appropriate care and intervention, either personally or through staff
Physical Requirements:
Work mostly inside, light to moderate cleaning, facility preparations, which will include movement of equipment
Standing for long periods required
Visual acuity, hearing and manual dexterity required
Able to bend, stoop and lift and carry up to forty (40) pounds
Subject to occupational exposures
Must be able to work a flexible schedule
