Description

Summary

The Brokerage Marketing & Communications Manager is the execution partner to the Director, Brokerage Marketing & Communications. This person owns the day-to-day activation of Brokerage marketing, driving launches and GTM execution in support of Brokerage marketing strategy.

Operating within a regulated FCM and IB environment, this person balances speed with compliance. They ensure every piece of Brokerage marketing is credible, differentiated, aligned to the broader Topstep brand, and reviewed through Brokerage, Product, Legal, Compliance, and Leadership before it reaches the market.

This role is a strong fit for a hands-on marketer who wants ownership of execution and thrives in a fast-moving, detail-heavy, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

Launch & GTM Execution

  • Own the day-to-day execution of Brokerage launches and GTM plans, translating the Director’s strategy and messaging frameworks into project plans, timelines, deliverables, and launch-day readiness.
  • Build and manage marketing checklists and timelines spanning web, email, content, social, and partner channels, holding stakeholders accountable to deadlines.
  • Coordinate production of launch assets (product messaging, web pages, email sequences, and campaign materials) in partnership with Brand & Marketing team, as well as cross-functional teams (Product, Brokerage, Leadership, etc).
  • Track launch execution and post-launch follow-through, flagging gaps, capturing what worked, and feeding learnings into the next cycle.

Content & Channel Execution

  • Partner with Brand & Marketing channel owners (Creative, Social, Web, Influencer, TopstepTV) to brief, review, and ship high-quality content/assets on schedule, maintaining brand consistency and compliance across every touchpoint.
  • Maintain the Brokerage content/launch calendar and channel cadence, ensuring a steady, credible presence distinct from prop firm content.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Act as the day-to-day connector across Brand (Creative, Social), Product, Brokerage, Legal, and Compliance, keeping Brokerage initiatives aligned and moving.
  • Work closely with the Director, Brokerage Marketing & Communications to translate product strategies into tactical GTMs.
  • Manage intake, briefs, and status across concurrent Brokerage projects, surfacing risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to the Director early.

Compliance & Brand Integrity

  • Understand and apply the constraints of a regulated FCM/IB environment and flag non-compliant language before it reaches review; understand the importance of keeping Compliance in the workflow.
  • Maintain and apply Brokerage brand guidelines across internal teams, ensuring consistency with Topstep’s broader brand and voice.

Market & Performance Awareness

  • Monitor FCM/IB competitors, industry trends, and market signals to inform content and positioning, sharing findings with cross-functional teams.
  • Track marketing performance against launch and channel goals, report on results, and recommend adjustments.

Required Qualifications and Key Competencies

  • 4-6 years of experience in product/brand marketing, with a focus on tactical execution: launches, go-to-market, and cross-channel content.
  • Experience operating within a regulated or complex industry (financial services, fintech, brokerage, trading, or similar), with working familiarity of how marketing copy is reviewed and cleared through Legal/Compliance. Direct exposure to NFA, FINRA, SEC, or comparable advertising/compliance standards is a strong plus.
  • Ability to run launches and GTM execution end to end: building timelines, coordinating deliverables across teams, and hitting deadlines under shifting priorities.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to keep multiple concurrent initiatives moving and stakeholders accountable without direct authority.
  • High level of accountability, ownership, experimentation, and initiative in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to translate technical or complex product concepts into clear, credible, audience-appropriate messaging.
  • Strong collaborative instincts and comfort working cross-functionally across Brokerage, creative, social, product, growth, legal, and compliance teams.
  • Ability to operate hands-on and with sound judgment, balancing speed of execution against brand and regulatory integrity.
  • Curiosity about trading, markets, brokerage, and the broader financial services and finance-culture landscape.
