Description
A leading global manufacturing company is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Execution Manager to join their team. This role is responsible for leading and controlling the mechanical maintenance section to ensure optimal performance, availability, and reliability of all plant equipment while managing the machine and fabrication shop operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, organize, and execute overall mechanical maintenance strategies, master schedules, weekly PMS, and daily plans to maximize equipment availability.
- Manage day-to-day activities and performance of mechanical supervisors and technicians, resolving operational issues promptly and safely.
- Direct machine and fabrication shop operations, including equipment refurbishment, parts preservation, and contractor area control to support plant needs.
- Drive asset management initiatives by maintaining asset numbering systems, validating equipment criticality, and managing critical spares inventory.
- Lead root cause analysis and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) on critical equipment to establish corrective action plans.
- Formulate and control the department's annual budget, monitoring monthly OPEX and CAPEX expenditures, material costs, and third-party services.
- Implement standard operating procedures, work order processes, and SAP-PM maintenance system protocols.
- Enforce strict compliance with occupational health and safety standards, environmental regulations, and corporate policies across all mechanical activities.
- Provide leadership, career development, and performance management for direct reports while identifying L&D requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; must be a Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME).
- At least 10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance execution within a heavy industrial or manufacturing plant setting.
- Proven experience managing machine shop and fabrication operations, preventative maintenance programs, and SAP-PM.
- Strong technical expertise in heavy mechanical equipment, troubleshooting, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Demonstrated expertise in high-level industrial safety practices, including energy isolation, heavy lifting, hot works, confined space entry, and working at heights.
- Strong leadership, people management, analytical, and budgeting skills.
- PME Certification is a big plus!
