POSITION SUMMARY
This position performs research, analysis, and review of sales revenue and cost data and report preparation/visual informatics to drive profitable growth. Provides consultative services to the department for the purposes of strategic planning, financial planning, and growth initiatives. Makes recommendations to management regarding revenue and price enhancements, ROI calculations, trend analysis, business analytics initiatives, strategic goals, and alignment with sales forecasts and compensation strategies. Assists management to ensure department financial obligations and deliverables are managed accurately and timely.
Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Prepares financial reports and performs analysis as needed by management. Ensures different objectives align with overall company goals. Prepares and delivers scheduled & ad hoc reporting and/or dashboards highlighting department performance by product line, service line, and strategic groups.
2. Possesses a high level of financial and business acumen and is comfortable making recommendations to all levels of Management. Effectively communicates financial information, presents conclusions and recommendations in oral and written form. Assesses the financial health of strategic partnerships and business development initiatives and translates the findings to key stakeholders to formalize plans for future involvement.
3. Collaborates and assists management on proposals and responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), conducting financial projections and analysis for potential clients and opportunities, including possible direct client interaction.
4. Assists in all aspects of department budgeting including developing the expense and growth budgets. Utilizes prior year and current trends, combined with department objectives to formulate expense forecasts and prepares submission collaboratively with management. Monitors current year expenses and presents key findings and drivers on a regular basis.
5. Efficiently synthesizes diverse and complicated information for the purpose of driving growth objectives, identifying and visualizing data into various platforms/dashboards, escalating trends and drawing valid and actionable conclusions.
6. Implements new technologies, processes, and systems including data validation, training, and integration to enable the success of the commercial team.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Extensive knowledge of managing data; queries, finance, computer systems, and analytical software.

Demonstrated intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL (SQL Server), VBA, Snowflake, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Sigma, Tableau).
Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets, stored across multiple data tables and databases.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent education and experience.
Four (4) years of financial, data or accounting analysis or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in a non-clinical, business facing role within a healthcare organization (e.g., finance, IT, operations, HR or sales), with exposure to laboratory environments preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience.
