Description
Northland Health Centers is seeking a compassionate Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) to join our integrated Behavioral Health team. This role provides evidence-informed outpatient counseling for patients experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns within a collaborative primary care setting.
Working with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and the Behavioral Health team, you will provide timely access to therapy, support whole-person care, and help patients connect with appropriate community and specialty resources when additional services are needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual counseling and evidence-informed behavioral health interventions.
- Complete assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with primary care providers to coordinate patient care and treatment recommendations.
- Identify social needs and connect patients with community resources.
- Coordinate referrals for specialty behavioral health services, psychiatric evaluation, hospitalization, or other higher levels of care when appropriate.
- Support patients through education, goal setting, and ongoing care planning.
Qualifications
Required
- Current North Dakota licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
- Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based counseling practices and behavioral health treatment modalities.
- Strong communication, clinical documentation, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Two (2) years of full-time outpatient mental health counseling experience.
- Experience in an integrated healthcare or primary care setting.
Schedule
Monday: 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
Tuesday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM–3:30 PM

A Typical Day
Your day includes scheduled therapy sessions, care coordination with the primary care team, clinical documentation, and helping patients navigate resources that support their mental health and overall well-being. When patients need additional services, you will assist with referrals and ensure smooth transitions to appropriate levels of care. You'll work closely with the Director of Behavioral Health and the care team to provide organized, compassionate, patient-centered care.
