Description
Our team is growing, and Marcon Metalfab (www.marconmetal.com) is hiring a CNC Laser Machine Operator to join our dynamic team based in Delta’s Tilbury Park.
Position Details:
- Shift: Day Shift.
- Days: Monday to Thursday.
- Hours: 5:00 AM - 3:30 AM (10 Hours).
- Pay: $28 - $34 (based on experience).
Skills/Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in either laser or plasma cutting of steel.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Good computer knowledge.
- Eperience with Mazak Fabrigear or other Mazak equipment would be an asset. https://www.mazakoptonics.com/machines/3d-fabri-gear-400-iii/
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret shop drawings and other documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to work independently and in conjunction with other team members.
- Good communication abilities, in written and spoken English.
- Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment requiring multi-tasking and prioritizing.
- Ability to operate a forklift, an overhead crane as well as precision measurement equipment.
- Commitment to customer service, excellence (attention to detail), innovation (proactivity, continuous improvement), and integrity.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience operating CNC band saws in a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and technical documentation.
- Solid understanding of steel fabrication techniques and various steel grades.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- A commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
- Experience with forklifts, overhead cranes, and precision measurement tools is a plus.
