Essential Responsibilities
- Diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain Chevrolet and GM vehicles according to manufacturer standards.
- Perform routine maintenance, warranty repairs, and advanced mechanical and electrical diagnostics.
- Utilize GM diagnostic equipment and service information to accurately identify and resolve vehicle concerns.
- Complete repair orders accurately and efficiently while meeting quality and productivity standards.
- Perform multi-point inspections and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Work closely with Service Advisors to communicate repair recommendations and vehicle status.
- Maintain current GM certifications and complete all required factory training.
- Follow all dealership safety policies, manufacturer procedures, and state regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist with other service department duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Current GM Certified Technician credentials required.
- Previous dealership technician experience preferred.
- Pennsylvania State Inspection and Emissions Licenses preferred or ability to obtain.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong diagnostic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in a shop environment throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate shop equipment and tools.
