Description
Position Title: Sr. Engineer Electrical
Location: Cornwala Plant
Workplace type: On Site
As a Sr. Engineer Electrical, you will be responsible for planning, execution, and reliability of all electrical maintenance activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted plant operations.
This role reports to Manager Maintenance.
What you will do:
- Operation & Maintenance – You will be responsible for the preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of electrical systems including motors, switchgears, transformers, MCCs, VFDs, substations, Co-Gen plants, DG sets, and power distribution networks. The role involves monitoring plant performance, troubleshooting LT/HT systems and control panels, and ensuring uninterrupted operation of the Co-Gen plant. You will also develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and checklists to minimize downtime, enhance reliability, and maintain safe, efficient operations across all electrical infrastructure.
- Continuous Improvement – hare continuous improvement projects to conserve energy through optimization of processes, preparation of their feasibility reports, BOQs, follow up for procurement of material and ensure safe execution of projects in stipulated time. Contract management will be mandatory.
- Project Management – You will be responsible for executing electrical projects, including system upgrades, retrofits, and new installations, while ensuring quality and efficiency. The role also involves preparing BOQs and technical specifications, as well as managing project timelines to deliver results on schedule.
- Inventory Management – You will be responsible for managing critical spares inventory and coordinating with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials. The role also includes supervising contractors, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring that all work is completed within budget and project timelines.
- Contractor Management – You will be responsible for training and guiding contractors, technicians, and electricians to ensure effective skill development and smooth execution of tasks. The role also emphasizes promoting safe working practices and fostering teamwork to maintain a reliable, efficient, and safety-focused work environment.
- People Management – You must have the capability to lead the electrical team while fostering close coordination across intra- and inter-departments. The role involves providing staff with awareness of best working practices, guiding them on technical matters, and building effective teams to enhance overall performance and reliability.
- Compliance – You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and maintaining effective cooperation with government officials. The role also includes upholding company policies, ensuring that all electrical operations and projects are carried out in line with organizational standards and regulatory guidelines.
What you will bring:
- Bachelors / Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering.
- 6-8 years of relevant operations & maintenance experience in processing industry.
- Prior work experience in Petrochemical / Fertilizer/ Process / Food / Cement Industry
- English fluency, both written and spoken
- Sound knowledge of ERP system including SAP, Lean Six Sigma, MS Office, ETAB, Power BI to carry out Preventive & Corrective Maintenance.
- Good understanding international standards of EHS, IMS, GPM, ISO & Food Safety etc.

- In depth knowledge of Instrumentation system is advantageous
- Knowledge of CFB boilers and coal fired powerhouses is an additive
- Working knowledge of Maintenance Methodologies, Reliability Management & People Development is desirable
- Excellent Team player, with ability to work under pressure
- Good communication skills with fluency in English, written and spoken.
