Mō te tūranga | About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Industrial Electrician / Electrical Inspector with Hazardous Areas endorsement to join our team. This is a hands-on role working across a varied industrial fleet and fixed plant environment, including quarries, asphalt plants, bitumen tankers, mobile plant and associated equipment.
You’ll be trusted to keep things safe, compliant and running well. It’s good, solid work with plenty of variety, real responsibility and a team that backs each other. At Fulton Hogan, Good Work is about doing the job properly, looking out for one another and always finding a better way forward.
Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities
- Carry out inspection, testing, certification and compliance activities across industrial electrical assets and equipment.
- Support reliability maintenance, fault finding and repair work to keep plant and equipment operating safely and efficiently.
- Complete electrical compliance requirements, including COVs, EWOFs and associated documentation to a high standard.
- Work across a range of industrial environments including quarries, asphalt plants, bitumen tankers and mobile plant.
- Put safety first every day and work to deadlines while delivering quality outcomes.
Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We’re looking for someone with
- Registered Electrician or Electrical Inspector status, Hazardous Areas endorsement, and a current practising licence.
- Experience in industrial environments and strong knowledge of inspections, certification and electrical compliance requirements.
- Solid fault diagnosis skills, a reliability maintenance mindset, and the ability to work unsupervised.
- Flexibility to work on call and on shift as and when required.
- A full Class 1 Driver Licence.
- Strong organisational skills, and a proactive, accountable approach to work.
- Clear communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn, grow and be part of a good team.
