The starting hourly wage for this role is $28 - $31 per hour.
Work Schedule
Full-time position
2nd shift, 2:00pm – 10:00pm
3rd shift, 9:30pm – 6:00am
OT as needed
Job Overview
Specific duties include: The Quality Lead will coordinate and assist in Quality and Sanitation activities within the facility, acting as a change agent, supporting, and promoting quality processes and implementation of new or improved quality programs within the plant. The position will serve as the primary point of contact for quality support to the production floor as well as other support functions.
Job Description:
- Support and promote quality processes and implementation of new or improved quality programs
- Interface with plant manufacturing personnel as needed including coordinating and assisting in Quality and Sanitation initiatives within the facility
- Conduct floor audits and provide feedback to employees and supervisors
- Back up all areas of the quality team as needed including but not limited to Microbiology, administrator, floor auditors, receiving quality
- Support Golden rule/internal audit program. Standard bearer as needed
- Support KHMS Implementation and Maintenance-chapter owner as needed
- Help maintain Internal Audit program including coordination of quality programs and preparations of reports of inspection as well as participation in external 3rd party audits as required
- Manages execution of site Food Safety Quality Program (QRMP) and HACCP programs.
- Support document control measures, backing up document control owner.
- HACCP Program Management
- Attend and maintain records and follow-up for Management Review
- Conduct and follow through on all Corrective Action and Preventative Actions
- Provide support in consumer complaint investigation and tracking
- Utilization of SAP including BI Reporting and input of COA results
- Verify there are no testing equipment issues on the lines
- Participate in daily finished product grading
- Support Mock Recalls as needed
- Support and help develop plant FSQ initiatives
- Present plant FSQ initiatives ion large group/plant meeting settings
- Support new hire FSQ initiatives
- It is the responsibility of all employees to adhere to all site rules, and to adhere to all ways of working, and processes and procedures within that role
- Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS) participation is required
- Other duties as assigned or required.
- Ensures all products manufactured comply with the Quality Assurance Program and policies reviewed during the on the job training applicable to this specific operation function.
- Will follow instructions delivered during the training that explained the fundamentals of the Kraft Heinz Safety Process and will keep himself/herself and others away from harm while performing his/her duties. Will adhere to LOTO policy and procedures.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
- Ability to work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions (0°F to 100°F+, wet, humid, confined spaces).
- Physical ability to climb ladders, lift over 50 lbs., and perform tasks requiring agility, such as stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Requires excellent vision (distant, peripheral, color-distinguishing) and manual dexterity for operating tools and machinery.
- Ability to work in high-noise environments near moving mechanical parts, using necessary PPE.
