Job Title: Storeroom Shipping and Receiving Coordinator- Steelscape Kalama 

Department: Maintenance  

 

Job Title Reporting to: Senior Engineer- Steelscape Kalama  

 

 

Primary Purpose & Value of the Department & Position

The Storeroom Shipping and Receiving Coordinator supports the Maintenance efforts to improve work force productivity and work quality. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for all administrative functions for Shipping and Receiving goods into the facility for all areas outside the responsibilities of other direct agreements.  

 

 

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities * 

In addition to complying with all safety and environmental policies and contributing to the company’s Zero Harm commitment, briefly describe 5 to 10 primary activities (not all activities) that are regularly performed.                             

                                        Percent 

Maintains an accurate store room inventory through housekeeping and organization with a regular cycle inventory

Updates inventory levels based on non-work order stock issue slips; restocks spare parts if not used for job

Restocks spare parts after they have been received; insures vendors are keeping consumable shelves in good order

Maintains and communicates daily receiving activities

Maintains all processes related to tracking, shipping and receiving of parts, tools, and other related material

Supports training and coordination of safety procedures for shipments and deliveries.

Perform a backup Role to the Parts coordinator

Manages the repairable spare process to ensure timely restoration to stores area.

Responsible for staging of spare parts for jobs as requested

Education & Experience Qualifications  

List qualifications necessary to perform the duties and responsibilities listed above. 

 

Minimum:  

  • High School diploma or equivalent 

  • Knowledge of Manufacturing processes and industrial environment 

  • Experience with an MRO storeroom 

 

 

Preferred:  

  • Knowledge of TPM, RCP, 6s maintenance practices 

  • Knowledge of maintenance activities
