Our client is an international, operationally intensive business is looking for a senior technology leader to define and lead Group IT at scale.

About the role

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will define and lead Group IT at scale and carries end‑to‑end responsibility for technology strategy, core platforms, cyber security, infrastructure and governance, with a clear focus on keeping the business secure, efficient and ready for future change. This is a strong platform for an IT leader who can balance strategic direction with operational discipline. The mandate is to bring clarity to priorities, strengthen resilience across the technology estate and ensure IT is seen as a practical driver of business performance. In this role, the successful candidate will set the direction for the Group technology function, ensuring investments, priorities and resources are aligned to business and operational needs. YOu will partner closely with senior stakeholders to assess risk, support decision‑making and shape a clear technology agenda across the organization. You will also lead cybersecurity, governance and technology risk, putting in place the standards, controls and recovery planning needed to support a secure and resilient environment. Alongside this, your team will oversee enterprise applications, proprietary operational systems, infrastructure, networks, workplace technology and shared services, while driving modernization, service improvement and architectural consistency across the landscape.

The successful applicant

• Holds a B.S. and / or M.S. in Computer Science or a closely related discipline, or equivalent experience demonstrating strong technical depth.
• Brings at least 10 years of hands‑on experience in digital delivery environments, ideally gained in Logistics or Heavy Industry, Heavy Manufacturing
• Strong understanding of large‑scale transformation, enterprise IT architectures and modern data / AI platforms
• Background in consulting or advisory roles is an advantage, particularly in digital, data, cybersecurity or business IT transformation
• Strong experience with application integration, data transformation and a range of integration methodologies and technologies
• Demonstrated experience in transforming legacy technology estates, including defining the strategy, target architecture and phased roadmap for modernisation.
• Has led or played a key role in high‑impact, enterprise‑wide strategic programmes, managing multiple stakeholders and ensuring delivery of clear business outcomes.
• Exposure to leading solution architecture in modern, data‑centric businesses operating at large scale and high complexity is a strong plus
• Good command in English and Chinese
