Senior Software Engineer - iOS

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience in iOS application development. Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable mobile applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. Requires strong expertise in Swift, modern iOS architecture, UI development, performance optimization, and integration with backend services. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that support a broader ecosystem of web, Android, and iOS applications. Provides technical leadership and contributes to key architectural and design decisions with minimal supervision.

Essential Functions:

• Design, develop, and maintain native iOS applications using Swift and modern Apple frameworks.

• Build reusable components and scalable mobile architectures to support long-term product growth.

• Design and implement solutions using MVVM, Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and established design patterns.

• Develop responsive, intuitive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces using SwiftUI and UIKit.

• Collaborate with Product, UX, Backend, Android, and Engineering teams to define, design, and deliver new features.

• Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs, backend services, and authentication platforms.

• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms, including JWT, SSO, OTP, and biometric authentication where applicable.

• Optimize application performance, memory utilization, reliability, and overall user experience.

• Develop and maintain unit, integration, and UI tests to ensure application quality and stability.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mobile application issues

• Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and technical decision-making.

• Lead medium-complexity technical initiatives and provide technical guidance to team members.

• Support onboarding and mentoring of junior engineers.

• Work within Agile development processes, including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.

• Document development processes, technical designs, and implementation decisions.

• Implement security, performance, accessibility, and data protection best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of iOS application development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with Swift and iOS SDK.

• Experience with SwiftUI and UIKit for modern iOS application development.

• Strong understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and iOS design patterns.

• Experience with Swift Concurrency (async/await), Combine, and asynchronous programming concepts.

• Experience designing and maintaining reusable networking and service layers

• Experience integrating REST APIs and backend services.

• Experience implementing authentication and authorization solutions using JWT, OAuth, SSO, OTP, or biometric authentication.

• Experience with dependency injection and modular application architecture.

• Strong understanding of testing, debugging, and performance optimization techniques.

• Experience with Git and modern version control practices.

• Strong understanding of mobile application lifecycle, release management, and App Store deployment processes.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Push Notifications, and Performance Monitoring.

• Experience integrating Apple HealthKit, Apple Watch, or other health and wearable technologies.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated mobile deployments.

• Experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure Blob Storage integrations.

• Familiarity with mobile security, observability, and application performance monitoring practices.

• Experience implementing reusable UI component libraries or design systems.

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools.

• Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence across teams.
